On Wednesday, September 17, 2008, the President’s Office and Biola's Art Department hosted a morning reception for Dr. Roberta Ahmanson in honor of her featured collection in Biola’s Art Gallery. The exhibit displayed the work of William Kurelek, whose creativity and talent moved beyond the canvas and onto his hand-made frames. Kurelek is among the well-known artists in Canada. Dr. Ahmanson shared personal and fascinating insights into the artist’s life and work. Biola Art professors Dan Callis and Loren Baker closed the program with their thoughts on the exhibit and the artist's perspective, after which guests had one last chance to take in Kurelek's work.
