Program Overview
Handong Global University's Exchange Student Program offers students the opportunity to study in beautiful Pohang, South Korea. Through their integration of academics, life, and faith, each program is designed to help students that come from over 60 countries around the world become proactive members of the International Community. They strive to uphold the Christian values of honesty, integrity, and character by providing education that focuses on "globalization", "academic excellence through creative convergence of disciplines", and "character and faith training" to cultivate world-impacting leaders. There is no better place to explore the depth of Korean culture than in the city, beaches, and landscape of Pohang!
Students who apply to attend Handong Global University must complete a Biola application for review by Study Abroad. This includes an interview as a part of the application. If the student is approved by Biola Study Abroad, they are nominated to complete an application to Handong Global University who determines final acceptance.

Airfare, passport, and travel visa are not included in the estimated program cost. Students accepted to participate in the program with Handong Global University during the 2026-27 year will be billed Biola tuition, Biola administrative fee, and international health insurance through Biola. Students live in a shared dorm room at Handong Global University. This cost is before financial aid. For a study abroad financial aid review, please contact The Office of Financial Aid.
